At Talmey we emphasize the importance of "family" in how we connect all the members of the school community together. As the year developed our classes have been organized into K-7 Family Teams. Each month the "Teams" gathered together to focus on our "Bucket Filling" process. Over the past year we have worked collaboratively to create inclusive language and visuals to facilitate deep thinking when we talk about our "Bucket Filling". Students are being encouraged to use the this language in talking about how other people's actions make them feel. We are using stories, buddy classes, monthly sharing "Bucket Filling Family Team" assemblies and visuals to bring this language to life throughout our building. We actively utilize this language to connect to personal and social competencies.
