I am Human-A Family Teams Activity Created by Students for Students!

Our 6/7 student leaders designed the I am Human activity for a Family Teams event. The Family Teams activity linked to our school-wide focus on Social Emotional Learning & strengthening identity and belonging.

Each Family Team group read Susan Verde’s book, I am Human weaving in the concept that it’s ok to make mistakes and that we are all growing. Students worked together to contribute to a list of things they are good at and things that they are working on getting better at. Students wrote/drew about one or two things they are good at and one thing that they are working on getting better at.
