On September 22^nd, our staff engaged in Professional Development focused on Transformative Reconciliation. We were connected to a district session in the morning with speaker, Dr. Dustin Louie. In the afternoon, we spent time as a staff thinking deeply about the First Peoples Principles of Learning and our school wide SEL focus. Staff came together in circle to share, learn, reflect, and deepen their understanding of Indigenous pedagogy We looked at Dr. Martin Brokenleg’s Circle of Courage as a potential framework for our school story/inquiry grant work.
