Talmey Book Club

We are looking forward to beginning our book club/lunch and learn series this January. We thank Connie Easton, our district consultant for Mental Health and Social Emotional Learning for in collaboration with our Pro D committee to bring this opportunity to our staff.

Here are a few of the sample questions that will frame our thinking as we begin to explore Wayi Wah!

1. What is your story of how you came to be where you are? What is your relationship with where you are now?

2. How would you define your relationship to First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples?

3. How could situating yourself positively affect your work environment? How could it affect your life outside your work environment?

Here are a few of the sample questions that will frame our thinking as we begin to explore Self Compassion for Educators.

1.Why is it important to slow down? What are the benefits?

2.How might the tradition of situating ourselves affect how we interact with each other in circumstances where we make mistakes?

3. Think about a challenging moment in your life.  Is there room for self -compassion for yourself at this moment.

We are looking forward to exploring our values together as we work together to deepen our understanding of Truth and Reconciliation and Social and Emotional Learning.
